The purpose of any project or program is to deliver solutions that bring business benefits to the stakeholder group providing the funding and resources, and to the whole organization. So professional achievements are the purpose of project work. But since organizations need to deliver services and projects with the resources available, Professional Achievements mean Optimizing the use of resources, doing the best with suboptimal, delivering more with below critical mass of employees, but nevertheless doing it right, as per scope defined, within the constraints, within the organization culture, and with good employee and customer satisfaction. We see each person including the Project Manager as a servant leader of the organization, each serving the needs of others, each supporting the others.

Our Team

Project get delivered first and foremost by people for people. Organizations want to do more with less, including less staff, and thus to make use of its scarce resources wherever and whenever they are available for work. Projects are normally complex coordinated activities and with the intense use of communication tools the nature of communication has become very complex. Collaboration across organizational silos, between people with diverse skills, synergistically, as well as people with similar skills backing each other up is a must for the continuity of project work, and for managing the availability of the scarce resources. Collaboration is mainly a horizontal activity and thus people also can achieve more by working with their peers and not through their managers and the hierarchical structure. This reduces the tension and stress in the workplace and leads to better teamwork, ultimately allowing a smaller team to achieve higher results.

Workplace diversity

Use of the right resource regardless of age, ethnic background, (dis)ability, shape, size, colour, way of speaking, level of knowledge, but purely based on the right person for the job, and in a real life project I would submit – the right person with skills just a notch below the best level, would allow everybody to grow, while delivering work with suboptimal resources, which is the case in most organizations. Workplace diversity is a must, as the workforce is getting older, distribution of age-groups and training is unevenly distributed globally, and the world has become a global village. Canada in particular is a place where workplace diversity should be totally accepted.
